2012 WBSI Spring Recreation Season
Based on feedback which has been received from
parents and coaches, several exciting changes have been made for this year’s
Spring Baseball and Softball program. Among those changes are…
There will be an expanded schedule of games in
each league.
There will be dedicated weekly practice time for
Minors, Majors, and Senior leagues.
Teams at the Minors level and older will be
selected by the coaches via a draft.
Clinics will be held for
players and coaches for both softball and baseball.

2012 WBSI **FREE** Spring Recreation Clinics
WBSI is offering FREE indoor clinics to
players registered to play in the Spring Recreation season for selected age
groups in both Baseball and Softball. These clinics will teach and
reinforce basic skills, mechanics and techniques so that the players can be
successful during the season. The players will receive instruction from
professional instructors. Baseball players will be instructed by
RBI-Reddick Baseball Instruction and the Softball players by Jody D'Amato's
Fastpitch Camps and Clinics. Players must be registered for the spring
season to participate.

asks you to please be considerate and pick up your trash at our fields.
Rain make-up games are being scheduled in some
leagues, talk to your coach for information on whether your team has to make-up
a rain-out.
WBSI Donates Used Equipment
Warren Baseball Softball Inc. donated a
truckload of used equipment to youth baseball and softball players from around
the world. Equipment was donated to Pitch-In For Baseball, a non-profit
organization. Please read the article that was published in the
Echoes-Sentinel Newspaper on December 26, 2009.

Parking at the Municipal Complex
The Warren Police Department has
asked for your cooperation in regard to the parking situation at the Municipal
fields. Of particular concern is the parking of vehicles in a manner which
would impede emergency vehicles from accessing or maneuvering near the fields.
The area of M-3 near the left field scoreboard (nearest to the bridge and ice
skating area) is a no parking area to allow an ambulance to access the fields.
Please observe all the "No Parking" areas and in particular the ones mentioned.
Summons have been issued to violators in the past. Parking is allowed in
the lot near the Rescue Squad and parking spaces open up after the early games
have ended.
WBSI E-Mail News Letter
The Warren Baseball and Softball Inc. is
pleased to announce a new service, which we are evaluating, an E-mail newsletter
to keep players, coaches, volunteers and families informed about important
dates or events. The News-letter service is completely optional and a
recipient can opt-out after receiving the newsletter at any time. The list of
E-mail addresses is not sold or used for any other purpose, other than WBSI
sponsored events. Please send us your comments about the service and if we
should continue it in the future.
