ABOUT US

A comprehensive evaluation has been taken to restructure the programs offered by WBSI. 

WBSI is following USA Baseball and Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken League in adopting the new player age rule of April 30th starting in the 2006 season.

LEAGUES

Tee Ball – (INSTRUCTION I) Boys and girls age 4 by April 30th, 20xx (Birth Certificate may be required) and boys up through age  6 mainly kindergarteners. Boys who start as 4 year olds must play 2 years of Tee-Ball.
Pigtail Softball-Girls-(INSTRUCTION I) Girls Kindergarten and 1st grade
Rookie – Boys- (INSTRUCTION II) Coach Pitch Age 6, 7 and 8
Rookie – Girls- (INSTRUCTION II) Coach Pitch Grades  2 and 3
Minors – Boys-National and American League Placement after skills evaluation. 46x60 size field.
Majors – Boys      Age 11,12 and others placement after skills evaluation. 50x70 size field.
Minor Softball- Girls Grades  4 and 5
Senior Softball – Girls    Grades 6, 7 and 8
Senior – Boys        Age 13, 14 and 15* (Babe Ruth Birthday Rule) 60x90 (regulation) size field.

What is the players age on the calendar day April 30th 20xx? (current playing year). 

The age on that date is the Babe Ruth age for the entire Baseball season.

* Players are placed in leagues based upon ability, after a mandatory evaluation process by WBSI trustees.

WBSI Baseball programs are divided into the following leagues, Tee Ball, Pigtail, Rookie,  Minors- National and American, Majors and Senior League.
